Characters

Aelar Stormwind (Mage)

Aelar Stormwind is a tall, slender wood elf with the elegant grace typical of his kin. His trademark long, silver hair cascades down his back. Aelar’s demeanor is calm and introspective, but his eyes reveal a hint of mischief.

A fashionable dresser, Aelar wears finely crafted leather tunics and a cloak that seems to shimmer with the hues of the forest. He carries a beautifully ornate bow. Several well-worn spell books and scrolls are hidden inside his satchel patterned after the far off Sandsea style.

Aelar has a fellowship at the Glimmerdeep Exploratory and Research Society (G.E.A.R.S.). Prior to this adventure most days Aelar could be found the League’s manor house, known as Eldorhall, a labyrinthine structure of weathered stone and ancient timbers.

Myska (Druid)

Myska has spent his entire life underground, living harmoniously with the myconids of Glimmerdeep in their tranquil colony. Known for his gentle nature, he has never killed anything, instead finding joy in exploring and documenting the rich tapestry of flora and fauna around him. His journal is filled with intricate sketches and detailed notes, a testament to his insatiable curiosity and love for nature.

Despite his aversion to conventional bathing, Myska maintains a unique form of cleanliness. A natural incense, growing like a fine white powder on his chest and legs, keeps him fresh and fragrant. This blend of earthiness and subtle perfume is a signature trait that endears him to his companions.

However, Myska’s idyllic life was disrupted when a strange sickness began to ravage his myconid colony. Determined to save his family, Myska has ventured out into the wider world, driven by a quest to find a cure and restore the peace he has always known.

Patrick Northstar (Monk)

Patrick Northstar is a 100-year-old Elf Adept from Elminster’s Enclave, a wood elf commune in southeastern Vailaris dedicated to harmony, self-discipline, and the preservation of magic. Raised in a family of guardians, Patrick followed the path of the Silent Shields, a protection guild specializing in safeguarding magic-users. Trained from a young age in martial arts, weaponry, and the subtle arts of hospitality, Patrick honed his skills over 80 years, preparing for a life of service.

On his first solo mission, Patrick was tasked with protecting a druid named Sandy Cheeks as she fled from Solara’s Reach to Greenmeadow. Despite his extensive training, Patrick was caught off guard during an ambush by the Luminar Order. The attackers overwhelmed him, and he watched in horror as they brutally killed Sandy. Gravely wounded, Patrick was left for dead. He barely survived, saved only by the intervention of a passing healer who happened across the scene of Sandy’s murder.

Now, six months later, Patrick is in self-imposed exile, unable to return to his homeland until he redeems himself for failing his charge. He wanders from town to town, seeking work as a bodyguard, travel guide, or cook, all while remaining steadfast in his commitment to protect magic and oppose the Luminar Order.

Senteq Wildwanderer (Ranger)

Senteq Wildwanderer, born and raised in Glimmerdeep, has dedicated his life to studying its unique flora and fauna. Though he appreciates the beauty of his homeland, he carries the quiet sadness of his people, descendants of a once-proud tribe of wanderers exiled from their mysterious homeland. These tales of a lost paradise, possibly hidden or swallowed by the earth, have fueled Senteq’s determination to uncover the truth of his ancestors’ past.

As a young ranger, Senteq felt an irresistible pull toward the unknown. Upon coming of age, he decided to continue his ancestors’ legacy by exploring the wilds and hidden depths of Glimmerdeep. His first major expedition led him through an arcane portal into a strange jungle filled with unknown creatures. Though lost and facing great danger, he survived and returned with valuable samples, further deepening his passion for exploration.

Now a fellow of G.E.A.R.S., Senteq dedicates his time to studying the creatures he encountered, including a small horned quadruped named Banjo. The experience has only intensified his desire to explore Eldoria as magic begins its reemergence, seeking out the secrets that could lead to the rediscovery of his people’s lost homeland.
